Enquirers’ Classes are for those people exploring baptism, confirmation or reception into the Episcopal Church.  These classes are also helpful for those who desire to refresh their understanding of their faith and practice within an Anglican/Episcopal tradition.

All classes consist of two consecutive Saturday sessions and are timed so that those preparing for confirmation, reception or reaffirmation of their baptismal vows can do this at one of the regional confirmation services

Umbrella Theatre

Do you have an overwhelming desire for serious drama that explores the human condition? Of course not; who does? But if you want to explore politics, relgion, history, current events and human foibles through laughter and the occasional dash of irreverent humor, then you will want to mark your calendar for our next production. For more information about Umbrella Theatre and to find out about upcoming productions please visit our blog.

Dinners for Eight

We created our “Dinners for Eight” program to help people in the parish get to know each other over a meal, usually four times a year. Participation might involve sharing a pot-luck meal at someone’s home or a meal at a restaurant, but each group decides how and when they want to convene. The goal is simply to meet people or enrich old relationships and have fun.

The 2008/2009 Dinner for Eight season begins soon! Look for sign-up forms available in the
entryway. Nancy Finley will make the group
assignments. She can be reached at 206/283-9021 or
nancyfinley2@comcast.net. Deadline for signup is Sunday, October 5, 2008.

Monthly Social after Last Friday Evensong

On the last Friday of each month the parish hosts a social following our 5:30 p.m. Evensong service in the Chapel. This social with light food and drink allows for a smaller social setting in which to get to know people.

Quiet Mornings

On the first Saturdays of Advent and Lent, St. Paul’s hosts quiet mornings as a way of focusing our time and attention on the specific season of preparation.

Waiting in the Dark: The Poetry of Anticipation and Yearning

Led by Sharon Cumberland, 9:00 AM to noon.

What can poets tell us about what it’s like to wait for the coming of something important and what does this suggest about our waiting for God to be born again in our lives?
